Merry Christmas

December Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

More Christmas

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving.  I sure did.  We get a 4 day weekend and boy was it nice.  I had time to do errands, craft, rest and of course eat:)  Here are some ornaments (ala Stephanie Ackerman) that I made...I just need to add some ribbon and they are ready to go on the tree when we get one.  

I also made a mixed media painting of Santa for my Whimsical Winter Workshop I am taking from Christy Tomlinson.  She made a Father Christmas style but I just love the modern Santa I grew up with..you know the jolly fat little guy!!

 I also worked on the December Stamp of the Month artwork and will share them on the afternoon of Friday, November 30th, as part of the Close To My Heart, Stamp of the Month Blog Hop so check back to see what I and about 60 other consultants did using  this stamp set.  Here's a picture of the images in this set.

It's Beginning to Look Like Christmas

I had my Christmas Card Workshop a couple of weeks ago and here are my 50 cards ready to be addressed and mailed.

So Blessed

I am so blessed to be an Awana Leader.  Each Wednesday I get to hang out with a group of amazing 5 to 7 years olds who are eager to learn, love, trust and serve Jesus.  I am certain I learn more from them than they do from me!  I just love their precious child-like faith and strive daily to just trust like they do.  I just love these little guys!!!  Last night, Aliyah, one of my precious clubber's gave me a picture she had drawn for me (can I just tell you my heart just melted when she gave it to me) and I just had to share.  

I am feeling so loved!!!!  Thank you Aliyah:) 

 

So Thankful!!

I spent a little time playing this weekend.  I wanted to get more done but the vog (volcanic "smog" we get when we have Kona winds) has really been bugging me...ugggg... sore throat, sinuses and coughing like a seal....anyway I finally forced myself to play yesterday.  I was messing with some tags ala Tim Holtz and here is one I made to go on a Thanksgiving Day card. I spritzed, sprayed, stamped, coiled some wire and cut some leaves with the Circut.  I really was fun and I am pretty happy with how it turned out.  I have a few other tags to finish maybe tonight and then I will post them.

November Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

I have to admit I was not too excited about the digital scrapbook thing...but this month we had a special buy 9 layouts and get one free, so I got online and did it!!!  Here are my layouts.  

I have to admit once I got started it was pretty fun....maybe I kind of like the digital scrapbook thing;)

Handmade Holidays

Well, I am taking another class...I know I am a class junkie and I have to admit I love taking creative classes!!!  I am taking Stephanie Ackerman's Handmade for the Holidays Class.  I just love her artwork it is primitive, hopeful, distressed and absolutely lovely!!!!  It just makes me happy looking at it:)  Please go check out her blog not only is she an amazing artist she is a beautiful person inside and out!  Anyway, here is my first ornament.  

 I had a hard time getting a picture to turn out.  I think the metallic distress stain on the JOY is throwing off my camera.  I covered the metal top with burlap so it did not stick out so much.    I hope to be sharing more Christmas items in the day to come.

Christmas is coming!!!!

I know not the news you really wanted to hear but it is coming and coming fast!!  Here are a couple of cards I made using the October Stamp of the Month.  I used the Cricut Artiste Cartirdge to make this first swing card.   It makes it easy peasy to make swing cards.

 This next card also incoporates the Artiste cartridge to to cut the mittens and sentiment tag.

Okay something a little more timely, here is a Halloween tag made with the Artiste cartridge.  The spider has Martha Stewert "glow in the dark" glitter so it doesn't show up so good in the picture.
