My Inner Artist

So, I am trying to uncover my inner artist..I know she is in there somewhere;)
I have been taking some online art classes and I just wanted to share some of my "art".

I am currently taking a class called Supplies Me taught by Jane Davenport.  I am just getting started, but here's my first attempt at drawing faces in 3 different shapes.  Remember this is just a practice sheet I did while watching her video.  I have to admit I am totally in awe of how simple it is to draw a face when given the proper instructions and breaking it down into sections.

Jane is such a joyful person and her teaching style is so encouraging and fun, she makes you believe that you can draw!  Now I have to break out my colored pencils and get to work on making my girls pretty and practice. practice , practice:)

Thanks for hopping by..now get out there and CREATE;)

Mary Green's August Collage Challenge

Mary Green, of Green Paper, has a monthly collage challenge. Anyone can enter. August challenge closes August 8th if you are interested in playing along. Be sure to check Mary's blog to see the other entries.

The idea is you have free access to some images and you need to use at least part of each in your composition. Fun! Here's my entry.

Thanks for stopping by:)

My Inner Artist

So, I have been taking online classes trying to pull out my inner artist....I know she is in there and is trying hardto get out:)  So here is the cover to my "She Had 3 Hearts Art Journaling Class" I am taking from Christy Tomlinson.  I am just getting started with this class, and I am loving it.

Now here's my "Donna Downey Inspriation Journal".  I have had the directions for quite awhile, but was just too lazy to get out the sewing machine.  Last weekend I had to hem a neighbor's dress and got inspired to do my Inspiration Journal.  I used canvas (I also made a new cover for my dog's cushion) and a Donna Downey stamp.  I did one with raw edges and one like she had in her video.  I love them both.  Thanks for your inspiration Donna...I just love her enthusiam..what an awesome teacher!!

I need to color this one in;)

Last but not least.... I went to a Scrapbook Expo in February and made a pendent and just "had" to get the soldering iron so I could make more.  Here's a pendent I made recently.  It has Jesus loves You on one side and Be Still and Know on the other.  Just to remind me who is in control!

Thanks for hopping by...now go out there and create!!!!!
