I am an Artist...Suzi Blu says so

As I mentioned in the previous post I am trying to uncover that inner artitst hiding in me.  I am taking a class from Suzi Blu called Portraits-Self Guided.  She teaches how to draw faces.  Here is my first attempt...I must admit I am quite blown away that I drew this!!!!!

(FYI:I left the guidelines so that I can use this as a guideline in my next drawing.)
She is an amazing teacher.  She breaks into little pieces and next thing you know you have a face!!  She is charmingly quirky and oh so talented:)  THANK YOU SUZI!!!!

My Inner Artist

So, I have been taking online classes trying to pull out my inner artist....I know she is in there and is trying hardto get out:)  So here is the cover to my "She Had 3 Hearts Art Journaling Class" I am taking from Christy Tomlinson.  I am just getting started with this class, and I am loving it.

Now here's my "Donna Downey Inspriation Journal".  I have had the directions for quite awhile, but was just too lazy to get out the sewing machine.  Last weekend I had to hem a neighbor's dress and got inspired to do my Inspiration Journal.  I used canvas (I also made a new cover for my dog's cushion) and a Donna Downey stamp.  I did one with raw edges and one like she had in her video.  I love them both.  Thanks for your inspiration Donna...I just love her enthusiam..what an awesome teacher!!

I need to color this one in;)

Last but not least.... I went to a Scrapbook Expo in February and made a pendent and just "had" to get the soldering iron so I could make more.  Here's a pendent I made recently.  It has Jesus loves You on one side and Be Still and Know on the other.  Just to remind me who is in control!

Thanks for hopping by...now go out there and create!!!!!

A Time to Playing

Well, I had time to play last weekend and here are some of my cards.

I used Dreams Come True (D1470) for these 2 cards.  It has become one of my favorite stamp set:)

I used D1426 Over the Rainbow Stamp set.  I have had this set for awhile and I finally got to play with it.  It is a real fun set to play with.

Above is a Graduation card I made using C1351 You did It stamp set.  I love how it turned out.  I made a pocket on the inside to put money in.  The flowers were made from a Sizzix die and texture folders.

Now lets get RINGY!!!

Here are some rings I made using button...button...who's got the buttons!!  Thanks to Jayma Malme for sharing her idea.  These rings are addictive and so much fun to make.

Well, I have a few other things to share but I have to get pictures of them.
Thanks for hopping by and have a CREATIVE day:)
