September Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop! We will be featuring September's SOTM, which is Thriller, a set of 9 awesome stamps.

If you have come here from Angela Garcia 's Blog, you are on the right path! If this is your first stop, you may want to go back to Helen's Blog and start from the beginning!

This month we have Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month's SOTM and other great CTMH products on their blogs. This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

Inside of the card.

A look at the springy bat.

The products I used are:
D1442 Thriller (Sept. SOTM) (new)
D1311 October Word Puzzle (I just realized this set is retired but I only used the bat)
Z1323 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 Clear Card (new)
X7129B Hooligan Level 2 Paper Pack (new)
1385 Daisy White Cardstock
Z888 Black Stazon Ink Pad
Z891  VersaMark Ink Pad
Z670 Black Embossing Powder
Z2191 Sunset Stamp Pad (new)
Z2190 Gypsy Stamp Pad (new)
Z2162 Honey Stamp Pad
Z2397 Pear Marker (new)
Z1089 Black Waxy Flax
Seed beads
Wire

I stamped 2 of the framed Dracula stamp with VersaMark and embosssed them on the Daisy White cardstock (cut to 3 3/4 x 5 with corners rounded).  I cut the image  in the frame of one of the stamped images to make a window to see into the card. I sponged Black, Sunset and Gypsy inks on the cardstock to look like sunset background.  I adhered the cutout image on the front of the card with B&T paper in the inside so the adhesive is not seen.  The inside image was adhered and I adhered a 4 X5 1/4 piece of B&T to the back of the card keeping the adhesive away from the edges so it will not show inside.  I colored the Dracula image with markers and blending pen dipped in the ink pad.
I stamped the bat image with VersaMark and embossed with Black embossing powder, then cut it out and attached it to the front of the card with a piece of coiled wire to give it a little "bounce".  I pierced holes around the edge of the front to the card and them threaded black waxy flax through with seed beads.

Thanks for hopping by:)

Now "Hop" on over to Doreen Guilfoyle's Blog to see her work! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas! Welcome to our Close to My Heart New Product Blog Hop! Over 50 Fabulous Close to My Heart Consultants are celebrating the upcoming release of the Autumn/Winter 2010 Idea Book by giving you a Sneak Peak of some of the great products available in the new Idea Book starting September 1st!

If you have come here from Toni Hinchcliffe's blog, you are on the right path! You can also find a complete list of Blog Hop participants at http://www.tazzygirl2000.blogspot.com/  This is simple do to- just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

I fell in love with the new Hooligans paper and the September Stamp of the Month, so I  made this wall hanging using the following products:

Z1334 My Creations Mix & Mingle Album (new)
X7129 Hooligans Level 2 Paper Packet (new)
D1442 Thriller (September Stamp of the Month)
Z2190 - Gypsy Ink Pad (new)
Z134 Prisma Glitter
Z888 - Black Stazon Ink Pad
Z891 - VersaMark Pad
Z1047 Simple Alphabet Dimensional Elements
Z1151 - 3-D Foam Tape
Z1283 - Autumn Craft Buttons
Wire
UTEE (Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel)

The Mix & Mingle Album is a combination of 5 chipboard and 3 clear acrylic pages that you join together with rings.  I used only 3 of the pages to make my wall hanging.  I applied paper to the front and back of the chipboard pieces and paper to the back of the acrylic piece (because it is clear the paper shows through).

I mixed the Prisma Glitter with UTEE powder (even amounts of each in a small jar) and applied it to the Dimensional letter covering the letters with VersaMark first and then heated, I applied 2-3 layers of just UTEE embossing powder on top.  I stamped the scull with Gypsy Ink on a chipboard coaster and cut around the image and then embossed like the letters.

I distressed the pages, letters and stamped a flourish on the sides of the acrylic page with with black Stazon ink.  Applied the letters with 3-D Foam Tape and connected the pages with the rings.  Made a hanger with wire (curled it around the handle of my piercing tool) added buttons.

I had so much fun putting this together and cannot wait to hang for Halloween.  Thanks for hopping by;)

Now hop on over to see Dawn Ross's amazing artwork.

BOO.......

Did I scare you??  I have been getting prepared for my Open House and have been playing with the new products.  Here are some of the items I have made with the September Stamp of the Month.

On this card I used the "Fabulously Artsy Tersa Black's" bleach technique.  I just LOVE this technique!!!!!  Click here to watch her video.  She is so fun and SO TALENTED...I have become a bit of a stalker to her blog and UStream page;)....I am not joking, I check them numerous times a day to see if she has any new entries....I might need some intervention in the future....heeheee

I used the new Hooligan Paper, the new Gypsy Ink Pad, Black embossing powder, black cardstock, twill ribbon and added Bitty Sparkles (every girl wants some bling)

Here's a tag I made I embossed the images with black embossing power and then sponged on Gypsy (new color), Sunset (new color) and Black inks (ala Tim Holtz).  I added ribbons and beaded some seed beads on some wire and hooked it on.

Thanks for hopping by;)

August Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop! We will be featuring August's SOTM, which is D1424 Something Splendid, a set of 13 stamps.

If you have come here from Carol D. Harris 's Blog, you are on the right path! If this is your first stop, you may want to go back to Kathleen's Blog and start from the beginning!

This month we have 65 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month's SOTM and other great CTMH products on their blogs. This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

I made this 6X6 inch card using the  Emerging Color Resist Technique I learned from the "Fabulously Artsy" Tersa Black.  Click here to see her video. She is such an amazing artist and teacher.
I used the following to make this card:

D1424 Something Splendid (SOTM)
C1408 Live Inspired Stamp Set
Outdoor Denim Cardstock and Stamp Pad
Chocolate Cardstock and Stamp Pad
Colonial White Cardstock
Desert Sand Stamp Pad
Sunflower Stamp Pad
Indian Corn Stamp Pad
Heavenly Blue Stamp Pad
VersaMark Stamp Pad
Clear Embossing Powder
Embossing Gun
Sponge

Now "Hop" on over to Cindy Appleman's Blog to see her beautiful artwork! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas! Remember, the August SOTM is only available until August 31st! Contact your CTMH Consultant (or click here) to see how you can get this stamp set at a discount or even free!

Here are some more projects I have made using this Stamp of the Month...
I used another Tersa Black technique for these cards.  This is the bleach painting technique.  It is so magical;)  You brayer the background color then outline stamp image with ink and then stamp the solid stamp with versamark and then emboss.  Now here is the magic...you take a paintbrush and with bleach paint the petals of the flower and magically the color disappears.

Can you tell I was enjoying this technique?  It is so much fun!  Click here for Tersa' video for this technique.  Thanks Tersa, for sharing your amazing talent with all of us.

Heart 2 Heart Challenge - -Time to get wild

These are from an post dated July 2010
Here are some cards I made using the July 2010 Stamp of the Month - D1423 Happy Forever.  These little critters are so stinkin cute.  I also used the Splendor (X7124B) paper pack.

The saying on this card came from D1426 - Over the Rainbow Stamp Set

This card I only used ink pads and sponges to do the background.

I used my son's Copic Markers to color the images.  I just love these little guys;)  Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Father's Day

Here's a card I made for my Father-in-law.  I used the Stamp of the Month.

I used the Passage Marker that says "family" above the "Dad" and unfortunately you cannot see it in the picture because of the glare.
Here's the inside:

Playing with my son's Copic Markers

I am taking an online Copic class and was practicing using my son's Copic markers.....thanks for leaving them David!!.  I love this stamp set (D1434 You're Great).  I made this card for an "elephantasic" person who loves elephants.  I think it turned out cute and hope that she will like it.

With fond memories

Sympathy cards are so emotional for me to make and this one was very hard.  A dear family friend lost her 6 year battle to breast cancer last week.  Jill was only 45 and left behind a husband and an 8 year old son.  I just have to hold on to the fact that she is with Jesus now and is no longer suffering.  She was such an angel to my Mom.  Here's is the card I made for her family.

Graduation Time

Here's a graduation card I made for Mr. Tyler Rollins ....2010 Baldwin High Graduate.... way to go Tyler:)

Some cards I have been making.

I saw some pretty color combos so I made some cards.  I random stamped the backgrounds with the color combos.  I think they turned out pretty good.  The anniversary one was for my husband.  We just celebrated 29 years of marriage.......wow it has gone by very fast.

Here is another clear card.....I love these cards.  This one I used my Tim Holtz Tattered Florals Sizzix Die.  I love how they turned out. I crinkled them up and them layered them.  (sorry the pictures are not that great..looks better in person!)

Thanks for hopping by:)
