November Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop! We will be featuring November's SOTM, which is Capture the Date, a set of 72 stamps. This set works well for jounaling on scrapbook pages and I love it for making personalized birthday cards.

If you have come here from Vicki Price's Blog, you are on the right path! If this is your first stop, you may want to go back to Helen's Blog and start from the beginning! This month we have close to 60 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month's SOTM and other great CTMH products on their blogs. This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go.....

I have to admit I was a little stumped when I first got this set out.  My first card I did a random stamping using the numbers for the background.  The next 2 cards are my take on the card sample in the catalog.  I made a card for my father-in-law's birthday on Nov. 24th...I loved it so much I made one for my Mom who's birthday is Dec 10th.

I used the following products:
S1211 Capture the Moment November SOTM
D1525 Casual Expressions Stamp Set
Z1790 Artiste Cricut Cartridge
Card 1
X7156B Clementine Paper Pack
Z2191 Sunset Stamp Pad
Z1702 Paradise Baker's Twine
Z1752 Clear Sparkles
Card 2
X7157B Dakota Paper Pack
Z1701 Neutral Baker's Twine
Z2130 Indian Corn Blue Stamp Pad
Card 3
X7155B Avonlea Paper Pack
Z1751 Harvest Baker's Twine

Handmade Holidays

Well, I am taking another class...I know I am a class junkie and I have to admit I love taking creative classes!!!  I am taking Stephanie Ackerman's Handmade for the Holidays Class I just love her artwork it is primitive, hopeful, distressed and absolutely lovely!!!!  It just makes me happy looking at it:)  Please go check out her blog not only is she an amazing artist she is a beautiful person inside and out!  Anyway, here is my first ornament.

I had a hard time getting a picture to turn out.  I think the metallic distress stain on the JOY is throwing off my camera.  I covered the metal top with burlap so it did not stick out so much.    I hope to be sharing more Christmas items in the day to come.

Christmas is coming!!!!

I know not the news you really wanted to hear but it is coming and coming fast!!  Here are a couple of cards I made using the October Stamp of the Month.  I used the Cricut Artiste Cartirdge to make this first swing card.   It makes it easy peasy to make swing cards.

This next card also incoporates the Artiste cartridge to to cut the mittens and sentiment tag.

Okay something a little more timely, here is a Halloween tag made with the Artiste cartridge.  The spider has Martha Stewert "glow in the dark" glitter so it doesn't show up so good in the picture.

Thanks for hopping by:)  Now go and do something creative!!!!!

Love Mail

I received a very special card yesterday and I just have to shareThe amazing, kind, and generous artist Suzi Blu gave me the opportunity to help  a group of women at Breaking Free Suzi asked for donations on her blog and I so I sent her a couple of boxes of stuff.  Yesterday I received this beautiful card from her and the group of ladies...I am feeling so blessed!!!

Thank you Suzi and you strong amazing ladies at Breaking Free..I will treasure this card!

Please go and check out Suzi's blog A Lovely Dream....She is an amazing teacher so check out her classes...she taught me, a person who thought she could not draw, how to draw faces!!!!  You will be glad you did!!!!

Sometimes Life Just gets too Busy!

Boy, these past couple of weeks have been crazy busy.....I have not had much time to create just for me...I have had projects I was working on but no time to just chill and roll with the creative mojo.

Here are a couple of cards I made on Sunday at my monthly scrappin with friends.

This first card is made with the Flirty Paper....I have to admit I was not that fond of this paper when I first saw it but I am growing to love it!!

Okay so this next "swing" card is cut with the Artiste cartridge and I was not even aware that this was on the cartridge until I saw in on Rebecca Brown's blog  !!!!  I think I need more time to make one of everything on this amazing cartridge;)  Please go and check out Rebecca's cards..they are gorgeous and given some more time I am going to lift many of her amazing ideas.
