I used my Cricut and a cartridge called Formal Occassions to cut the gown. I then embossed the top layer and sprayed the dress with Create-a-Shade Pearl Paint mixed with water. It's hard to see the pretty shimmer it has in this picture. I embossed the black mat also. I applied Sparkles to the "Love" label and Itty Bitty Sparkles to the bodice of the gown. It was actually pretty simple to make the hard part was deciding what to do. I printed the sentiment on vellum for he inside of the card and stamp a flourish under it on the card. Sorry the pictures is a bet blurry.

Someone's Getting Married....
It's not me...I already have a wonderful husband!! It is a beautiful young couple from church. Saturday is Whitney's Bridal Shower and I just had to make her an extra special card. From visiting my blog you have probably notice how elegant and sophisticated I am.....NOT...but I think I pulled off a elegant, sophisticated card. Let me tell you, I really had to pull the elegant rabbit out the hat to come up with this....it took 3 days of cruising blogs, looking at premade cards before my little pea brain came up with this idea....I have to admit I am very happy with how it turned out. I hope she loves it:)

This is not only elegant, it is simply stunning! I love all the detail you did on the dress. And the black and white look so perfectly formal. Really great work on this! Best, Curt
ReplyDeleteIt was amazing! I'm glad I got to see it in person. So impressive!
ReplyDeleteReally pretty! Please do tell, does the Cricut give the pleats on the dress as well? I also am a CTMH Consultant, but am new to the Cricut world. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteGretel, the pleats are made by a layer. The dress is 2 layers cut with the Cricut. I embossed the top layer using an embossing folder and my Big Shot. Thanks for stopping by:)
