August Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop! We will be featuring August's SOTM, which is D1424 Something Splendid, a set of 13 stamps.

If you have come here from Carol D. Harris 's Blog, you are on the right path! If this is your first stop, you may want to go back to Kathleen's Blog and start from the beginning!

This month we have 65 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month's SOTM and other great CTMH products on their blogs. This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

I made this 6X6 inch card using the  Emerging Color Resist Technique I learned from the "Fabulously Artsy" Tersa Black.  Click here to see her video. She is such an amazing artist and teacher.
I used the following to make this card:

D1424 Something Splendid (SOTM)
C1408 Live Inspired Stamp Set
Outdoor Denim Cardstock and Stamp Pad
Chocolate Cardstock and Stamp Pad
Colonial White Cardstock
Desert Sand Stamp Pad
Sunflower Stamp Pad
Indian Corn Stamp Pad
Heavenly Blue Stamp Pad
VersaMark Stamp Pad
Clear Embossing Powder
Embossing Gun
Sponge

Now "Hop" on over to Cindy Appleman's Blog to see her beautiful artwork! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas! Remember, the August SOTM is only available until August 31st! Contact your CTMH Consultant (or click here) to see how you can get this stamp set at a discount or even free!

Here are some more projects I have made using this Stamp of the Month...
I used another Tersa Black technique for these cards.  This is the bleach painting technique.  It is so magical;)  You brayer the background color then outline stamp image with ink and then stamp the solid stamp with versamark and then emboss.  Now here is the magic...you take a paintbrush and with bleach paint the petals of the flower and magically the color disappears.

Can you tell I was enjoying this technique?  It is so much fun!  Click here for Tersa' video for this technique.  Thanks Tersa, for sharing your amazing talent with all of us.
