Back in the Groove

I am trying to get back in the groove after my GREAT vacation. My son, David and I had the best time. We took over a 1000 pictures and drove 3683 miles! We saw so many beautiful place and got to hang out with family, some of whom we were meeting for the first time. While in Seattle we had beautiful weather (sunny, no clouds..not a one and pleasant temperatures). We were looking for cloudy cool weather but the clear weather made for great pictures. We could see the Cascade, Rainier, and Olympic mountains. It was a little strange for us islanders to be surrounded by mountains, especially since Pugent Sound looks like the ocean! Here are some pictures we took while there.

David has decided that Seattle is his city and his goal now is to get back there as soon as possible. This leaves my husband and I with missed feelings, we are thrilled to see that he is ready to leave the nest, but we are so sad to see him go!

While in Montana we got to experience warm sunny days when we first arrived, so I started praying for some snow and by the following Saturday we had snow! My cousin Kerrie had come to visit us in Bozeman and we were out doing what girls do...SHOPPING..when my Aunt Jan got a call from Uncle Hank saying it was snowing at home. I went out of Walmart to get the car and there were wet snowflakes falling..I was THRILLED, but unfortunatley I did not have my camera (still can't believe I left it at home) and by the time we got home it had stopped but I did get pictures of the snow on the ground. Mind you it was not a lot of snow and I really could have gone for some more but I was still thrilled. I was like a kid and Aunt Jan and Kerrie kept telling people...who were complaining... it was my fault it was snowing.
My son was in Cody WY with his friend and I tried calling to let him know what he was missing and could not get through. Come to find out they had snow too so all was well with us McNulty's. You gotta love the weather in Montana...it is so extreme. Here's some snow pictures. It was so pretty when it was coming down.
I am glad to be home but am having a hard time getting back into the every day routine. Need to jump start the vacation brain and get back into the groove.

1 More Day

Wow, only 1 more day and we will be leaving on our road trip. It is finally here. I have been busy getting everything ready so that I leave and quite frankly I am exhausted, but I think I have everything ready to run smoothly while I am gone!

I wanted to post a couple of things I have done in the last week or two. First is a little post-it-note holder I made for my Open House Guests using the May Stamp of the Month. The next is a wedding card I made.

My plan is to post some pictures of our trip while I am gone, but I am not promising because we just may be having to much fun to take the time to post!

Have a great Memorial Day!

I have been playing with some of the new products. Here's an album I have been working on using the new My Creations 3 Ring-Binder and the new Back Country paper. I am loving this paper. It is going to go great with my trip pictures. By the way only 8 days until we leave...yippee! I also used the Dimensional Elements In Color-Adventure....they are just too cute.

Oh no....I am Obsessed with Twilight

I have been reading the Twilight Series and I am totally obsessed!! I bought the first book with the intention of reading it on the plane, well........I am now almost finished with the 2nd book and will hopefully save at least the 4th book for the plane, but I cannot promise. I know I am not alone in my obsession because some of the "dog park ladies" have been telling me how good they were for months. I just really wasn't that interested in vampires.......until I started reading. I am not sure I am really interested in vampires in general I think it is just the characters in Twilight that have me hooked. If you haven't checked it out you really should. It will nab you and then suck you right in;)

I rented the movie the other day and watched it twice!!! They did a great job of translating the book to a movie. It looked like what I saw while reading. I think I need to buy the movie so that I can watch it again and again. I am HOOKED!

I am learning....slowly

I am slowly learning how to do things on this blog. As you can see I finally figured out how to make my page pretty. Yeah Me!

Only have 30 more days until we leave on our "Great Adventure". As you can tell this is foremost on my mind. I have a lot of things going on, but I have to admit I am having trouble concentrating on all of that.

It's Friday.....yeah

Don't you just love Friday's. I sure do. This weekend is my scrappin weekend. I meet with a group of friends once a month to scrap, yak and of course EAT. It is a real treat for me and I really feel like a new woman when I leave. All destressed and happy. Thanks to all my fellow cult members for making me a "Happy Scrapper" Love you gals.

34 days and counting until my son and I fly away!!!! We are so stinkin excited. Here is one of the pictures from my Aunt Jan and Uncle Hank of the snow they got on 4/15/09.

Isn't it beautiful? Last year they got snow in June and David and I are hoping maybe they will some again this June so we can experience it. Being from Hawaii we will probably FREEZE:) Just hope it doesn't snow while we are driving there.....we do not know how to drive in snow:0

Have a great Friday and of course a creative fun weekend.
