Some cards I have been making.

I saw some pretty color combos so I made some cards.  I random stamped the backgrounds with the color combos.  I think they turned out pretty good.  The anniversary one was for my husband.  We just celebrated 29 years of marriage.......wow it has gone by very fast. 

Here is another clear card.....I love these cards.  This one I used my Tim Holtz Tattered Florals Sizzix Die.  I love how they turned out. I crinkled them up and them layered them.  (sorry the pictures are not that great..looks better in person!)

I was so excited to see the recipe box and knew I just had to make one, and the Cherry-O paper was a perfect match.  

I used the following to make my recipe box:


Z1322 - My Creations Recipe/Photo Box
X7123B - Cherry-O Level 2 Paper Packet
X8625 - My Originals Sugar & Spice Card Kit
Z1125 - Sweet Leaf Ribbon Collection
1512 - Bonding Memories Glue
1514 - Tombow's Mono Adhesive (to glue ribbon)
Z679 - Liquid Glass
Z819 Circles Window Charms
Ink Color: Z2166 - Tulip
The knob is a Tim Holtz Curio Knob

This was fast and easy to put together.  Just cut the papers and glue them on with the Bonding Memories Glue, sponge Tulip ink on all edges, glue paper ribbon, Sweet Leaf ribbon, and circle window charm (I used Liquid Glass to get it to stick well) with the sticker from the card kit.  Then decorate your recipe divider cards with the stickers and easy peasy you have a beautiful recipe box:)

I am having so much fun playing with the new products from the new Summer catalog that starts May 1st.  Check out the Clear Card I made.  I embossed the front cover first and then added my paper and stamping.  Products used are:

A Sneak Peek

Here is a sneak peek at some of the new products coming out May 1st.

This is a picture of my baby (he is now 20 and still plays guitar)!  I used the new Zippidee Paper and the new Clear Cards to make this frame. 

I used the new Cherry-O paper for this card.  I love this paper!!!!  I also used the new Cherry-O Opaques Stickers. The stamp set is from the Cherry-O Workshop Kit.

I used the Passages paper, Live Inspired stamp set and the new Passages Marks...love love love this paper, stamp set and the Marks. 

I used the Zippidee paper for this card and the May Stamp of the Month. 

I hope you are as excited as I am about these new products.  I am having so much fun playing with them!

I was playing..

Here are a few cards I made the other day.  The first 2 I used some of the paper and a technique from the new catalog coming out May 1st ;)  The third card is using paper left over form the Miracle Kit Special for this month.  Gotta go the dog is giving me "stink eye"  I think he needs to go out!  Bye for now.

Our son went to Montana and stayed with my Aunt Jan and Uncle Hank.  It only took them a day to make him a "Maui Redneck"

Where is time going???

Yikes,  I can't believe it is mid March already.  I just cannot keep up lately and I wish I could sometimes just push a button and slow things down a bit.  I do have to say I did survive another annual meeting, kitchen remodel and our son living home....so ...I guess I have been in recuperation,,,,,,,,,,, "oh my gosh our nest is empty" mode.  But it is time to "snap out of it" and get busy creating.

Here are 3 cards I made using the April Stamp of the Month.  I really am having fun with this set. 

U R "Tweet"

I have been getting ready for my Open House and just had to share this card. I used the Felicity Kit, which I am just lovin'. It is a special kit available for National Papercrafting Month. The stamp set includes alphabet stamps, birds, flourishes, flowers and an awesome argyle pattern. It includes some beautiful paper some of which are even die cut. The card below shows everything but the argyle pattern (although you see that the B&T paper has it). You can get this kit for FREE by purchasing $60 in stamp sets. This is another card made with this kit. I used a quarter of one of the die cut papers and decorated it with the stamp set. I made a pocket with a tag.

Below is a layout I did using this kit (sorry the picture is not too great...I really need lessons on how to get good pictures of my artwork). The pictures are from when I was home visiting my Mom. Some of her friends took her to lunch for her birthday. We went to a restaurant just past Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park called "Po Folks". It was a real fun place that serves "down home cooked meals" . They have catfish, hushpuppies, fried green tomatoes, collard greens, just to name of few of the yummy delights. I had catfish and hushpuppies and boy were they good. We all had a great time and left with happy tummies.

Oh my goodness....I am so not with it on the blogging lately. It has been almost 2 months....where does the time go. I just can not seem to keep up with anything lately. I still have to get my Christmas cards out...I know Christmas is over butttttttt I am determined to get them out. My current favorite phrase is "Better late than never"!

I hope that your Christmas was a very Merry one. Ours was great...a nice,quiet and restful weekend.

I also made a bunch of gift card holders. I again got the template from Stamp TV. These little guys are so fun to make. I have made a bunch for next Christmas...yippee I am ahead of the game a little:)

I finally am getting around to my blog. Where do the days go??? It is November 6th already...

My son comes home next week Thursday, yeah. He will be back in the states on Monday night and is very glad to be coming home. He had a very aggressive travel schedule and is all traveled out...he says he never wants to travel again!!

Okay, I just gotta let out a yipeeeeee....New Moon is coming out in 13 days:) Can't wait to see it. In case you are new to my blog I am totally obsessed with the Twilight series...oh my goodness if you have not read the books yet.....WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR!!!! I will warn you once you start reading you will not be able to stop, so warn the family they may not see you until you have finished all 4 books;)


Okay okay, here are some things I have been working on. Here's an ornament I made using a coaster, Evensong paper, cranberry ribbon, Prisma Glitter and my sizzix machine. The pictures is our darling little Charley...isn't he the cutest! Lifted this idea from some one's blog;) Sorry I do not remember who's.

This is a card/desk picture frame (I lifted from Vicki Wizniuk). This is my "first draft" and I plan on adding more to the next one, but wanted to see how it worked. It is such a great idea and I plan on making more of these "babies" for friends and family. I added the calendar that way they can use it all year round. I used Evergreen paper and calendar was made with a stamp of the month set from the spring 2009 catalog (I hope they bring it back in the next catalog). FYI- We will be making these 2 items at my workshop on November 20th
