Happy Holidays

Oh my goodness....I am so not with it on the blogging lately. It has been almost 2 months....where does the time go. I just can not seem to keep up with anything lately. I still have to get my Christmas cards out...I know Christmas is over butttttttt I am determined to get them out. My current favorite phrase is "Better late than never"!

I hope that your Christmas was a very Merry one. Ours was great...a nice, quiet and restful weekend.

I have been working on some projects. Below are some card sets I have been doing. I got the template from the Stamp TV blog. I love Gina K's designs. They are simple, clean and gorgeous. Here's' a link if you want to check it out. She has weekly videos and I LOVE videos:)

I also made a bunch of gift card holders. I again got the template from Stamp TV. These little guys are so fun to make. I have made a bunch for next Christmas...yippee I am ahead of the game a little:)

6 sets of 6 cards. This is a great way to use your extra paper packs.

I'm baaack finally:)

I finally am getting around to my blog. Where do the days go??? It is November 6th already...

My son comes home next week Thursday, yeah. He will be back in the states on Monday night and is very glad to be coming home. He had a very aggressive travel schedule and is all traveled out...he says he never wants to travel again!!

Okay, I just gotta let out a yipeeeeee....New Moon is coming out in 13 days:) Can't wait to see it. In case you are new to my blog I am totally obsessed with the Twilight series...oh my goodness if you have not read the books yet.....WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR!!!! I will warn you once you start reading you will not be able to stop, so warn the family they may not see you until you have finished all 4 books;)

Okay okay, here are some things I have been working on. Here's an ornament I made using a coaster, Evensong paper, cranberry ribbon, Prisma Glitter and my sizzix machine. The pictures is our darling little Charley...isn't he the cutest! Lifted this idea from some one's blog;) Sorry I do not remember who's.

This is a card/desk picture frame (I lifted from Vicki Wizniuk). This is my "first draft" and I plan on adding more to the next one, but wanted to see how it worked. It is such a great idea and I plan on making more of these "babies" for friends and family. I added the calendar that way they can use it all year round. I used Evergreen paper and calendar was made with a stamp of the month set from the spring 2009 catalog (I hope they bring it back in the next catalog). FYI- We will be making these 2 items at my workshop on November 20th

Thanks for stopping by and have a creative day:)

It's been awhile....

Oh, boy I am not so good at keeping up with my blog:{ It has been quite awhile since I updated it.

Any hoo...my son David is in Europe and has been sending a few pictures of his travels so I thought I would post a couple. He has been to London, Dublin, Paris currently in Amsterdam, and leaving for Brelin tomorrow. He still has 17 days and will be going to Prague, Vienna, the Swiss Alps, Venice and working his way back to London for the long trip home. He has been very busy and is "tried of traveling", but is enjoying all that he has seen and experienced.

Here's a couple of pictures:

The London Bridge

The Effiel Tower
I can't wait to see all of his pictures.

I have been playing.

Here are some things I have been working on. This card is made using the new Top Coats. I folded it in half to make an acrylic card and used the Grace paper pack and the Stamp of the Month "Treasures", White embossing powder and Chocolate Ribbon Rounds to finish it off.

Here's the inside: I used "Liquid Applique" to make the dandelion look dandelionish (I know that is not a word but it sounds cool!)

I really need to learn to take better pictures!

Here's some earrings I made for a friend and the card to hold them. The angel is from the "Angel Sent" stamp set.

The follow pages are the extra pages you can make with the Twitterpated paper from the Twitterpated Workshop I am having on Friday.

This is a sneak peek at one of the cards we will be making at my annual Christmas Card Workshop...details to follow. I used the "Creative Basics Jingle Collection" and the October Stamp of the Month "Holiday Warmth". I embellished the tree with "Liquid Applique" to give it that just snowed look. It might need a little Prisma Glitter too!!! Everything is better with bling:) I have to admit for Christmas I am a green and red girl, but I am really liking the Juniper, Tulip and Hollyhock colors in this paper:)

Thanks for stopping by.

This fun card was so easy to make with the new Sweet Home paper! I love the colors and patterns of this paper. It reminds me of a quilt my Grandma made. I used 4 different papers and made a paper quilt. The "ribbon" is actually a strip from one of the papers which I maounted on a strip of Buttercup cardstock and I added the slide to make it look like a belt. The stamp set "Delightful Things" is one of my favorites from the new catalog. I kept it simple to show off the beautiful papers.

Here is what I used:

X7116B Sweet Home Level 2 Paper Packet

Z1037 Shades of Chocolate Mini Medley Accents

D1369 Delightful Things My Acrylix Stamp Set

Time keeps on slipping!

Time keeps on slipping, slipping, slipping into the future...... this Steve Miller Band song is the my current theme song. I just cannot seem to keep up lately. It has been over a month since I last posted and I have no real good excuse accept.....time keeps on slipping. I have been creating (playing) quite a lot lately. Here's my take on the workshop I am having on Friday. The pictures are from my trip, the handsome young man driving is my son, David. We drove 3683 miles and saw 5 states (WA., OR., ID., MT., & WY.)...some of them we only saw small parts of but hey we were there!

Here are some pictures of the cards made with the National Stamping Month Kit from CTMH. If you buy $60 in My Acrylix Stamp Sets you get it for FREE or you can purchase the kit for $39.95. It has all you need to complete 16 cards (2 of each of the designs). Love this kit and you get the stamp set and small ink pads too.

I made these card using the August Stamp of the month It's Your Day.

Here's a card I lifted from someone and I apologize I do not remember who from or I would give you credit.
I used the following:
D1325 Argyle Background
D1298 Beautiful Things
Desert Sand Cardstock & stamp pad
Chocolate Cardstock & stamp pad
The Dream was cut with my Cricut using the Home Essentials cartridge.

I love it when I feel creative and can't wait to get home and play with my toys. Hopefully I will be better about updating my blog, but I am not promising......it comes down to updating the blog or playing with my toys guess what wins:) And with a new catalog starting September 1st I have had a few new toys to play with and will be posting my creations soon.
Happy August:)

I had time to play.

I had time to play this weekend. Don't you just love 3 day weekends:) I hope that you had a great 4th of July. Ours was nice and quiet.

Here are some cards I made this weekend.
The first 2 I stamped with the Stamp of the Month, You've Got Flair. I stamped it then colored it in with my watercolor pencils and mounted it with dimensionals on chocolate cardstock then daisy white cardstock and made a 4x4 inch card with sweet leaf cardstock. I added stitching with my white pen.

This one I used my Top Note Sizzix die and added Prisma Glitter (which you can not see in the picture) and used a red, white and blue theme for the 4th!
This card is made using D1341 Butterfly Wings. I embossed the the butterfly with white embossing powder and then inked the image with a sponge using Sorbet and Creme Brulee inks then cut it out and mounted it with dimensional on sorbet cardstock. I love how it turned out.

The next 2 cards are made using a Stamp of the Month set from awhile back called Life's a Jungle. I love this set and had stamped these little guys and put them away. I found them this weekend and just had to get them done. Aren't they the cutest little guys? I used Good Times Paper for the background. I put googly eyes on them to add to the cuteness;)

Now I have to tackle my HUGE stack of vacation pictures!!! Check this out...OMG....how intimidating is this! We took over 1100 pictures! These are only from our trip! I hope that you had time to play this past weekend.

Back in the Groove

I am trying to get back in the groove after my GREAT vacation. My son, David and I had the best time. We took over a 1000 pictures and drove 3683 miles! We saw so many beautiful place and got to hang out with family, some of whom we were meeting for the first time. While in Seattle we had beautiful weather (sunny, no clouds..not a one and pleasant temperatures). We were looking for cloudy cool weather but the clear weather made for great pictures. We could see the Cascade, Rainier, and Olympic mountains. It was a little strange for us islanders to be surrounded by mountains, especially since Pugent Sound looks like the ocean! Here are some pictures we took while there.

David has decided that Seattle is his city and his goal now is to get back there as soon as possible. This leaves my husband and I with missed feelings, we are thrilled to see that he is ready to leave the nest, but we are so sad to see him go!

While in Montana we got to experience warm sunny days when we first arrived, so I started praying for some snow and by the following Saturday we had snow! My cousin Kerrie had come to visit us in Bozeman and we were out doing what girls do...SHOPPING..when my Aunt Jan got a call from Uncle Hank saying it was snowing at home. I went out of Walmart to get the car and there were wet snowflakes falling..I was THRILLED, but unfortunatley I did not have my camera (still can't believe I left it at home) and by the time we got home it had stopped but I did get pictures of the snow on the ground. Mind you it was not a lot of snow and I really could have gone for some more but I was still thrilled. I was like a kid and Aunt Jan and Kerrie kept telling people...who were complaining... it was my fault it was snowing.
My son was in Cody WY with his friend and I tried calling to let him know what he was missing and could not get through. Come to find out they had snow too so all was well with us McNulty's. You gotta love the weather in Montana...it is so extreme. Here's some snow pictures. It was so pretty when it was coming down.
I am glad to be home but am having a hard time getting back into the every day routine. Need to jump start the vacation brain and get back into the groove.
